2022 - Futsal POLICY: Proof of Vaccination and Safety Procedures

Saskatoon Futsal operates under the jurisdiction of Saskatchewan Soccer Association and follows all Saskatchewan  Ministry of Health and Saskatoon Public Health regulations, and is also subject to specific facility and league policies.

Procedures for daily health checks, mask requirements, physical distancing and contact tracing will remain in place as long as required by public health regulations. Saskatoon Futsal League also recommends rapid test before the games,

SFL aims to minimize health risks and interruptions to the programs due to Covid-19. Proof of vaccination requirements vary between different facilities and leagues; many have not finalized their requirements; some require proof of vaccination for 12-17 year-old players, others do not.

Therefore, for the 2002 Futsal season, the league policy is as follows:

Players (effective January 1st, 2022)

  • All players 12 years of age or older are required to provide proof of vaccination to participate in 2022 Saskatoon Futsal League. Accommodations for provincially approved medical or religious/creed reasons will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
  • All players under age 12 are exempt from being required to provide proof of vaccination.
  • All players are required to perform a daily health check before the activity, and to check in with club staff upon arriving.
  • Saskatoon Futsal also recommends the use of rapid tests regularly. ( Preferable before every game)
  • All players are required to wear masks while entering and leaving indoor fields and gyms, walking within the facility including in washrooms, and when not participating in a game or activity.
  • All spectators aged 12 and over are required to provide proof of vaccination for access the facilities.

Program Suspension due to COVID-19 cases

If Public Health Orders determines that a program must be suspended or paused for a period of days due to a potential or actual COVID-19 outbreak, the league will be rescheduling the games to a future date

This policy is subject to change as required to comply with new or amended regulations. Should this occur, registrants will be notified at the earliest opportunity.
